I am DarrickT, also known as Boonie Man, born in Peoria, Illinois, though I spent my formative years on the Gulfside of Florida and consider myself a Sunshine State native at heart. As a proud veteran who served two tours in Afghanistan, I discovered solace in songwriting as a means to cope with unseen scars. My musical influences include Jimmy Buffett, Christopher Cross, Staind, and Bob Marley. With my wife, our rescue pets, two grandkids, and two daughters close to my heart, goal is to craft songs that resonate deeply and captivate listeners.
